The staff at Wonderhill Farm recently accepted a donation from Arete Proper­ty Group toward the equine therapy center’s annual oper­ating costs.

“We rely on donations from individuals, families, founda­tions and corporations to help fund our programs,” like the one made by Arete, founder Holly Carlile said.

“We are grateful and bless­ed for all those that have giv­en so much of themselves to support what we do here at Wonderhill Farm.”

Wonderhill provides both equine assisted therapy and therapeutic horsemanship, allowing children and adults facing developmental, emo­tional, social and physical challenges to build. confi­dence and strength.

“These horses provide a service in the community for those in need of physical, mental, and emotional .ther­apies,” Carlile said. “As we continue to love on people, we see Miracles happen every day; The horses do the work and God gets the credit!”

Local real estate investors at Arete Property Group presented Wonderhill staff with a check for $23,779.97 to kickstart a veteran-focused program, “specifically those with PTSD or wheelchair bound,” information from the Arete team stated.

“Arete Property Group is proud to make a donation to Wonderhill Farm and sup­port a foundation that strives to see and bring out the best in the people who are most often neglected and forgotten.”

The goal for Wonderhill is to facilitate healing through the help of horses, whether physical, mental, or emotional healing.

“Our horses help us to speak, walk, heal, and pro­cess our emotions unlike any other therapy,” board member Teri Davis said.

“God guides our horses to reach out to the hearts and souls of people who need help.”
