Wonderhill Horseshoe Club is made up of sponsors who provide for the care and feeding of Wonderhill Farm therapy horses.
Sponsorship of a horse provides for the daily needs of these amazing animals allowing them to perform life-changing therapeutic activities for individuals of all levels and ages.
Equine Refuge and Rehab
Horses are the foundation of everything we do at Wonderhill Farm. They have a boundless ability to connect with humans. Trained therapy horses are able to sense in real time how much interaction and stimulation benefit persons with disabilities. And importantly, they know when to stop and be still. Much time and effort are spent to develop the needed skills for our working equines. Typically our horses are mature seasoned equine selected for their caring dispositions and gentle spirits. Often, the horses are older and have certain medical issues that don’t interfere with their use as therapy horses, but nonetheless require treatment. When their working days are done, Wonderhill Farm provides a retirement refuge where our retired horses can enjoy their remaining time relaxing with the other senior members of the herd.
Wonderhill Farm provides services for those in need of physical, mental, and emotional therapies. Our programs are run by certified and qualified leaders. Our programs are individualized and use many aspects of the the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) mental health treatment model. This model uses horses to help clients gain emotional insights and develop skills and is based on the idea that horses can mirror human emotions and provide non-judgmental feedback. To quote our founder Holly Carlile, “We see miracles every day. The horses do the work and God gets the credit.” We partner with horses who are in their second and third careers. We give them a soft place to land and a purpose for life. They have dedicated their lives to serve us. Wonderhill provides senior care with a purpose.”

Standard Care

Dental, vet & hoot care
Vet Care
$150/month
Checkups/Coggin tests, semi-annual vaccinations, health certificates, dental medications, and joint injections as recommended
Feed Care
$100/month
Alfalfa, chopped hay, supplements, shavings, horse feed per horse's needs, coastal hay
Hoof Care
$50/month
Trimming every 6 weeks, shoes as needed
