Volunteer and Become a Super Star

Our volunteers are the Super Stars at Wonderhill Farm. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment make it possible to serve or community and make a difference in the lives of the children and adults we serve.  Our volunteers work with our horses and support our clients, giving with their whole hearts and making meaningful connections.

Our volunteers have all levels of experience. Some are teenagers who are earning service hours and supporting their community. Others are teachers, business executives, social workers or neighbors looking to give back. And some are lifelong horse people who feel the calling to share how the bond between a horse and a human can change a life.

There are volunteer positions for anyone that wants to serve.  Some volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to:

  • Grooming and tacking horses before riding lessons
  • Leading horses during riding lessons. Must demonstrate an ability to control the horse in various situations and manage the horse for at least an hour.
  • Walking alongside horses during lessons to provide encouragement and extra support for our clients
  • Assist in preparing for therapeutic riding class by pulling out equipment and setting up the arena.
  • Working with clients in our classrooms and barn, helping them learn about horses and participate in horse-related educational activities
  • Assisting our IT/Marketing department with graphic design.
  • Typing/data entry
  • Making phone calls
  • Helping with fund raising events
